Lila's Nail Studio

We had the chance to go home to Greensboro this past weekend to see our good friend Daniel Goans marry the love of his life, Lauren. It was a beautiful weekend full of friends and laughs. Sadly, my pictures of the wedding did not turn out too well, so I do not have too many to share, but here are a few:

The Logans with Sarah and Houston at the Rehearsal Dinner

Charlie, Leo (who surprised everyone) and Drystan

Also, the night of the Rehearsal Dinner happened to be a Coach's Conference at the Downtown Marriott. I was sitting by myself in the lobby waiting for Luke, and saw lots of NC State coaches. Then I realized the man that was standing right in front of me was Tom O'Brien, the head coach of NC State's football team. After contemplating for a few minutes, I finally got the courage to go up to him and introduce himself. I then awkwardly told him how much my dad loves him and asked him for a picture...

of course I had to throw up my pack sign!

The wedding was Saturday morning at Grace (where Luke and I got married)!

I wish I could have captured the simple, genuine, hipster coffee shop feel that they were able to present at their wedding and reception!

After the wedding we headed to Evan and Matt's to visit and spend time with family. Well we thought that was what we were there to do...apparently we had an appointment to get our nails done as well! First, Lila painted her own nails, then Ci-Cis, and then Evans...and after INSISTING that she paint Uncle Luke's nails, he finally gave in. He pleaded for blue, but she would not have it. Pink it was.

Lila is thrilled and Luke is scared to death

note the princess polish all lined up...
Who needs a professional when you have her?

After finishing Luke's nails she wanted to paint mine. Given that I had just painted mine and had an awards ceremony to attend the next day, I politely declined. Then she looked at me straight in the eyes and said, "sit down." Well, who can say no?!

haha i'm not sure about this face...

Then it was time for her to do her toes! She knew exactly what to do...

this might be my favorite pic of her!

After her dad dried her toes with the hair dryer, she was ready for her princess party!!

By the way, the last time Lila wore that dress, she was the flower girl in our wedding! Apparently it is her new favorite "princess dress" and wears it every day (but she insists the bow is not tied!).

Meanwhile Evan and Amelia were hanging out and snuggling....2 very sweet girls!

We had a great weekend at home even though it was too quick. We are excited to go back in a couple weeks for another wedding and a spa day with Evan and Connie (for Connie's belated birthday present)!
