The Tacky Christmas Sweater

It is hard to find a tacky Christmas sweater in a college town...but all of our friends still managed to find quite the collection this year! Some were found in their mother's closets, others at thrift stores...this year a friend of ours found 2 for us in the nursing home sale that he works at! I found 2 events to wear mine to, and Luke found 3!

The first was our annual small group Christmas party. This year we dressed tacky and headed to the nursing home to sing carols and read stories! We were quite the hit!

I volunteered to act out "Twas the Night before Christmas." Let's just say Broadway will not be calling me anytime soon...

The best sweater of the night went to Chris...I mean he had to cut open a stuffed animal for this beauty...and it even had lights!

After our visit to the nursing home, we headed to Union Station for dinner and a fun game of dirty santa. Luke even ventured out to try the deep fried burger! It was delicious...but could easily cause a heart attack.

Our Christmas Sweaters made another appearance at our CSPA Christmas party! Kristin was our host and our invitation included the cutest poem, I just had to share:

Twas the end of the semester, and all through the South
Word of a Christmas party traveled by mouth
The girls were all giddy, the boys all shy
To see each other before Winter's goodbye.
It became quite clear for the girl from the Garden State
This could be big, so she started with a date!
"Saturday December Tenth," she cried
At seven o'clock her guests would arrive.
All dressed to the nines, their skirts and ties,
Of all black or white, their choice to decide.
And what is a party without pasta and wine
Meatballs and gravy, the Italian way to dine
Bring a dozen sweet treats to help us exchange
And a gift for the Yankee Swap, five dollars in range.
Let us not forget the meaning of the season
Being all together, that is the reason.
Looking forward to seeing you all
It's going to be a great night!

Clearly, Kristin used to be an English teacher! I know you are wondering how the Christmas Sweaters fit in, but just wait...

of course Ryan and Adam had to come in their "tuxedos"

prom pose for Greg and Candace

the whole gang in black + white...so thankful for them!

After eating an amazing meal and spending time together...it was time for part II. Taylor hosted a "Red Neck Christmas" party next door. So, we all changed from class to trash and continued the night!

Taylor in his HHS shirt and Jorts...AHHmazing.

all the guys in their shorts that were a little too short...

We had a great time celebrating the holidays in our sweaters, and Luke even got to wear his to school for tacky sweater day (I think his kids were a bit frightened!). I cannot wait for next year's festivities!
