On Christmas Eve morning we lost my grandma Register, Sadie. She died in peace after years of struggling with her health. She was an amazing and strong woman! She raised 3 boys, took care of my grandfather for years, and welcomed people into her home all the time.
Some of the things about her I will never forget:
- her candy jar that was ALWAYS full of candy!
- fried chicken that is to die for...seriously. it was the best i have ever tasted.
- brooke and i LOVED her twin outfits/toys every year for Christmas/Birthdays. more on that here.
- sleepovers at her house with brooke during Christmas time
- her stubborn attitude...must be where i get mine from!
- always having a national enquirer to read while visiting her house (grandpa won a life-time subscription after he was featured in it because he found a huge amount of money and turned it in)
- her love for her garden
- somehow she managed to make the best corn. others have tried, nothing has ever compared. the holidays will not be the same.
